Discord Bot Command Reference

Installing the Bot

You can install the bot in one of 2 ways:

  1. Open up the "Games" page, and click on the "New" button. Then select the Discord type of game, and follow the instructions.
  2. Click this link to add the bot to your Discord Server.

Bot Trigger

Just type a / to trigger a list of commands. The common command prefixes are the following...

/char - Character options

/critical - Critical options

/dice - Dice options

/gm - Game Master options

/ic - In Character options for play by posts

/init - Initiative options

/join - Joins a game in that channel

/leave - Leave a game in that channel

/story-points - Story Points & Destiny Points options

/vehicle - Vehicle options


Rolling Dice

/dice rolldice{dice}comment{comment}test{true or false}

The parts

/dice roll... - Starts the dice roll

...dice... - Enter dice, custom weapon name, or skill.

...comment... - (Optional) Enter any description for the check.

...test - (Optional) Enter True or False if you want this to not show in your roll history.

Dice Indicators

Dice have two input schemes; Color (Default) and Name. The scheme will apply across all your Discord servers. Change your scheme in your profile settings on RPGSessions.com

Color

y - Yellow

g - Green

b - Blue

r - Red

p - Purple

k - blacK

w - White

Name

p - Proficiency

a - Ability

b - Boost

c - Challenge

d - Difficulty

s - Setback

f - Force

Edit a Roll

/dice edit - Allows you to edit or reroll dice from of your last roll.

Dice Help

/dice helptype{enter General or Dice} - Further help if you get stuck.

Advanced Options

4r = rrrr - Add a number for multiples of the same type of dice


GM Options

You must be a server admin to use the GM commands.

/gm add user{name} - Assign a player a GM role to the current game.

/gm remove user{name} - Remove GM player role from the current game.


Character Options

Viewing Characters

/char viewprivate{True or False} - View your character in the game, publicly or privately.

/char listprivate {True or False} - List all characters in the game, publicly or privately.

/char select - Select a character in the game to view.

Adjust Stats

/char statstat{various}amount{number}

The parts

/char stat... - Starts the character stat change.

...stat... - Chose from Strain, Wounds, XP, Available Aember, or Force Rating Committed.

...amount - Enter a number to add or subtract.

Character Crits

Previous crits will automatically be added to each of these commands.

/char crit rollmodifier - Roll a crit for your current active character, with an optional modifier.

/char crit addseverity - Add a specific crit to your current active character, with a numeric severity.

/char crit removeseverity - Remove a specific crit from your current active character, with a numeric severity.


Vehicles

Viewing Vehicles

/vehicle viewtype{Personal or Party}private{True or False} - View your personal or party vehicle in the game, publicly or privately.

/vehicle listprivate {True or False} - List all vehicles in the game, publicly or privately.

Adjust Stats

/vehicle statstat{various}amount{number}

The parts

/vehicle stat... - Starts the vehicle stat change.

...stat... - Chose from Current Hull Trauma, System Strain, Speed, Defense, Defense Fore, Defense Port, Defense Starboard, Defense Aft, Armor, and Encumbrance.

...amount - Enter a number to add or subtract.

Vehicle Crits

Previous crits will automatically be added to each of these commands.

/vehicle crit rolltype{Personal or Party}modifier - Roll a crit for your personal or party vehicle, with an optional modifier.

/vehicle crit addtype{Personal or Party}severity - Add a specific crit to your personal or party vehicle, with a numeric severity.

/vehicle crit removetype{Personal or Party}severity - Remove a specific crit from your personal or party vehicle, with a numeric severity.


Initiative

/init viewprivate{True or False} - View Initiative publicly or privately.

/init clear - Clear Initiative

Create Initiative

/init rollType{PC or NPC}Dice{dice or skill} - Roll initiative for a PC or NPC with dice or skill.

/init neworder{pc/npc} {pc/npc} {pc/npc} {etc.} - Create a new initiative with a new order that will modifying the round and slot.

Advance Initiative

/init nextslots{number} - Advance initiative to next slot, or optional specific slot.


In Character Posts

The bot will require some additional permissions to use this command. Check permissions and create the required webhooks.

/ic messagemessagecharacter - Post that will show the selected characters image from your character sheet instead of the default Discord avatar.


Destiny & Story Points

There are two types of points, Destiny (Star Wars) and Story (Genesys). Both will use the Story Point identifier.

 

/story-points viewprivate{True or False} - View Points publicly or privately.

/story-points clear - Clear Points.

Creating the Dice Pool

./story-points setpoints{2pc 3gm, etc.} - Add points to the pool manually, indicating the number of pc points and gm points.

/story-points rolldice{dice}comment{comment} - Add points to the pool by rolling a Force dice with an optional comment.

Using Story Points

/story-points usepoints{pc gm, etc.} - Use a PC or GM Story Point.

Advanced Options

/story-points addpoints{pc gm, etc.} - Add additional points to the pool.

/story-points removepoints{pc gm, etc.} - Remove points from the pool.


Other Commands

/join - Join the Game Table in the channel

/leave - Leave the Game Table in the channel.

Review Specific Items on Character Sheets

[[name of item]] - Pull up items on your active character sheet, such as any weapon, equipment, armor, talent, or power. Helps to quickly view a weapon, or a talent. You can use the actual name or the custom name.

Example: [[Grit]] will show the Grit Talent, if your character has it.
